You can also choose a template provided by Microsoft Word. The Microsoft Word template is a sample template that you can use to create a document. With this template, you don't have to worry about creating a Word document design, you only need to edit it.
- On the Welcome Screen window, select the template you want.
- Click More Templates if you want more templates to inspire you in creating your Word documents
- You can also search for templates in the search field, or choose several templates based on categories that have been provided by Microsoft
- After you select the template, a window will appear containing the template details. The name of the template, the description of the template, and the size of the template for download will be seen here
- Click Create to start downloading and using the template
- Once the template is successfully downloaded, you will be directed to a new document that already contains text and images according to the template you selected earlier
- Then you just need to edit it according to your needs
The templates shown in this menu are still not usable. When a template is selected, you must first download it before it can be used. So make sure your computer or laptop is connected to the internet.
Don't worry, these templates are free. You do not incur additional costs to download it.

How to Start Microsoft Word from an existing file
- On the Word Welcome Screen, click the Open icon
- Click Browse and navigate to the location of the Microsoft Word file
- Select the file then click Open

If you want to save to the preferred file format above, you must save the file with the Save As step as described previously.
Then make sure before you press the Save button, select the document type in the Save As Type column as needed.
